What is a Movie Palette or Movie Barcode?

A Movie Palette (often called Movie Barcode art) is a visual representation of an entire film compressed into a single image. Each vertical stripe represents one frame, with colors extracted from the average hue of that frame. The movie canvas begins with the opening scene on the far left and ends with the final shot on the rightβ€”creating a chronological color timeline of the film's visual journey.

A typical 90-minute movie contains approximately 129,600 frames at 24 frames per second. Our technology analyzes every single frame to create a unique "color DNA" that captures the cinematography and artistic vision of your favorite films.

Are the colors as vibrant in real life as they appear online?

For the majority of our customers, the colors in real life look even better and more impactful than on a screen. However, please note that physical prints may vary slightly from your digital monitor due to specific screen calibrations (brightness/contrast).Β

Every film has a distinct color palette and visual rhythm determined by the cinematographer's artistic choices. For example:

Can I request any movie or TV show?

Yes! We accept requests for movies and TV shows that aren't currently in our catalog. When you request a title, we add it to our product catalog on next release so it becomes available for everyoneβ€”at no extra charge to you or future customers.

Do movie barcodes include the end credits?

By default, we trim the end credits because they typically add a large black section that interrupts the visual flow.Β

SIZES & CUSTOMIZATION

Is the Frome iPhone case MagSafe compatible?

What material are phone cases made from?

Cases are made from flexible TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) with raised edges for screen protection. The material provides excellent shock absorption while remaining slim and lightweight.

Designs are printed using UV printing technology, which bonds the ink directly to the case material for fade resistance and durability. Under normal use, designs remain vibrant for years.

How do coordinate maps work?

You provide an address or coordinates (latitude/longitude), and we create a custom map centered on that exact location. The coordinates are displayed prominently, along with a stylized map showing streets, landmarks, and geographic features.Β 

You can add up to three lines of custom text including dates, names, or special messages. Each map is designed specifically for your order.

How accurate are the coordinates?

We use professional mapping data to ensure geographic accuracy. Coordinates are precise to within meters of the specified location. If you provide an address, we automatically convert it to exact latitude and longitude coordinates.

SHIPPING & LOGISTICS

Where do you ship from?

We strive for local production to reduce our carbon footprint and ensure fast delivery.

MOVIE CANVASES: We have fulfillment facilities in the USA, Canada, UK, EU, and Australia. Your canvas will be handcrafted and shipped from the facility closest to your delivery address.

PHONE CASES: Currently, all our custom movie palette phone cases are produced and shipped exclusively from our USA facility.

WOVEN BLANKETS: Shipped from our USA facility.

PERSONALIZED MAPS: Produced and shipped from the USA.

COMBINED ORDERS: If you order both a canvas and a phone case (or other items from different facilities), they may arrive in separate packages at different times. You'll receive separate tracking numbers for each shipment.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes! We want the whole world to enjoy our unique movie canvas products. We offer global shipping to almost every country. International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes that may apply.

How long will it take for my items to arrive?

Delivery times consist of DISPATCH TIME (production) + SHIPPING TIME.

1. DISPATCH TIMES (Handcrafting your order):

β€’ Phone Cases: Usually dispatched within 1–3 business days
β€’ Movie Canvases: Due to the detailed handcrafting process, canvases are usually dispatched within 5–6 business days
β€’ Woven Blankets: 3–5 business days
β€’ Personalized Maps: 2–4 business days
β€’ Peak Seasons: During high-demand periods (holidays), dispatch may take up to 6–8 business days for all items

2. SHIPPING TIMES (After dispatch):

Once dispatched, most orders arrive within:

ORDERS, PAYMENTS & RETURNS

Can I change my shipping address or cancel my order?

You have a 24-hour window after placing your order to request a change or cancellation. After 24 hours, your order enters our automated production queue and can no longer be modified.Β 

If you notice a mistake, email us at support@frome.co immediately. We'll do our best to accommodate changes, but cannot guarantee modifications after the 24-hour period.

Which currency will I be charged in?

We process all orders in USD (United States Dollars). While you can browse the store in various local currencies for convenience, the final checkout will be converted to USD at the most current exchange rate. Your bank or credit card may apply additional foreign transaction fees.

Is checkout on this site safe?

Absolutely. Our store is SSL-encrypted (you'll see the padlock icon in your browser) to ensure your data and payment information are protected at the highest industry standards. We never store your complete credit card information on our servers.

What is your return policy?

We want you completely satisfied with your Frome purchase:

QUALITY ISSUES: If your order arrives damaged or has a quality defect, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We'll send a replacement at no charge or provide a full refund.

WRONG ITEM: If we sent the wrong product, contact us immediately. We'll send the correct item and provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect one.

CHANGE OF MIND: Because each piece is custom-made specifically for your order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. However, if there's a significant issue with your order, contact us at support@frome.co and we'll work with you to find a solution.

DAMAGED IN SHIPPING: Contact us immediately with photos of the damage. Keep all packaging materialsβ€”we may need photos for our shipping insurance claim. We'll ship a replacement or refund you promptly.

My order arrived damaged. What do I do?

Contact us immediately at support@frome.co with:
1. Your order number
2. Photos of the damaged item
3. Photos of the packaging (if possible)

We'll either ship a replacement at no charge or provide a full refund. Keep the damaged item and packagingβ€”we may need additional photos for our shipping insurance claim.

GIFT ORDERS

Can I ship directly to the gift recipient?

Absolutely. Just enter their address as the shipping address during checkout. The package will not include an invoice with pricing. If you'd like us to include a gift message, add it to the order notes.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Currently, we do not offer gift wrapping services. However, all our products arrive in attractive packaging suitable for gifting. Canvas prints are well-protected and professional-looking when unboxed.
